UK Ministers are reportedly set to meet as early as Monday in order to discuss implementing new lockdown rules, despite criticisms of the government doomsday modelling predictions.
Amid concerns over the omicron variant of the Chinese coronavirus, British ministers are set to convene by as soon as Monday to possibly reimpose new lockdown restrictions in England.

The media wanted the go on lockdown before Christmas and they ignored them... The only news since then is good news... Less hospitalizations, milder covid... Whey would they lockdown now?

They are still acting like the Imperial College of London ( which predicted 5,000 omicron deaths a day by Christmas without lockdowns) has some shred of credibility, despite its record of flawed disastrous modeling.
France is going to consider the next moves on Monday.
Why wait until next week? If it’s such an emergency, do it now.
This time I actually wonder if the church and synagogue lockdowns (not stated so far) will be joined by the Religion of Peace Muslim temples, including the one Mayor Khan goes to. Otherwise what Obama referred to as “the most beautiful sound I ever heard” will fall on the ears of tearful worshipers of Allah.

If Downing street tries this there will be blood in the streets. It will be worse that the Peterborough riot. As it is the police have lost all respect and are seen as fine collectors and political enforcers. Zero respect. The British army would never supress the British people and are stretched way too thin. The territorials will side withe the people. The Tory government hands on by the thinnest of threads. Boris Johnson is a dead man walking. People here are more than pissed and blame the government for destruction of ghe economy.

Up to the Brits to stand up for themselves. Nothing like that will happen in the U.S. Joe Biden seems like he wouldn't dare. Governor Whitmer backed off since widespread protests in Michigan. You will see a couple of blue areas become neurotic with coronavirus restrictions but that's about it.
