Frosty is not even a person so it has no gender at all. It does not care. No awareness.
English tradition when gender is nonexistent, unknown or irrelevant is to use the male pronouns.
If something looks female (like a doll or fictional character) some may use the female pronouns but it does not make it an actual female.
