I believe it was a public transit bus rather than a school bus.
Laws need to be changed for anyone who even attempts to purposely Plow thru people with a vehicle. Immediate death penalty!
That would be a good ending to the story.

It’s hard to imagine anybody just blasting around a school bus or any bus that way. He may not have been trying to hit anybody, it’s just that he was mad because somebody was delaying him, and of course, he’s obviously the most important person in the universe. Weirdly, with all this covid nonsense, I have found that general social behavior has plunged and many people have become just rude, angry, ugly raving lunatics. And they’re proud of it and feel entitled to do it.
We destroyed our society for a media-event “disease” and this is the result.

Horrible. I read the article above and it was apparently a county bus and the driver ran up onto the SIDEWALK to get around the bus because he didn’t want to wait. So the poor kids weren’t even in the street.
Wonder why? Maybe didn’t get a specific enough description of the car from witnesses.

Some things you never should do and one of them is pass a stopped school bus no matter how irritating the bus driver is. I’ve had school busses run stop signs to get in front of me and then stop on a major road to let off (slowly) a dozen or more kids in front of an apartment complex - rather than pull into the apartment complex and let the kids off away from the main road. But not the kids’ fault.
This guy/gal should get a very long vacation at the state’s expense.
I just saw it was a stopped TRANSIT bus, Not a school bus. The driver may not have been at fault since passing a stopped transit bus is NOT illegal, but by taking off made his/her situation 100 times worse. Of course it could be an illegal and will never get caught or a drunk pulling a Teddy Kennedy so as not to be drunk when caught.

Kids were not passengers on the county bus. Perp drove on the sidewalk to go around the bus and struck kids who were on the sidewalk. Perp still not in custody.
It wasn’t a school bus, it was a county bus.
