First-term Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the GOP rebel Washington’s establishment loves to hate, has an enormous lead in her 2022 midterm election primary and is considered "badass" and “incredibly effective” despite being booted off all House committees by Democrats.
In a new campaign survey provided to Secrets, likely Republican primary voters in her northwest Georgia district chose Greene overwhelmingly over her potential opponents, and 53% would back her regardless of who challenges.
And a recent redistricting that added Democratic sections of Cobb County hasn’t watered down her support in the ruby-red 14th Congressional District.
“Anyone who thinks Marjorie Taylor Greene is vulnerable in a Republican primary is delusional and severely detached from reality,” said her campaign pollster and media consultant, Neighborhood Research and Media, in the memo.
The outfit, which also worked in her initial 2020 bid, said Greene’s GOP reelection support is at 71% in head-to-head matchups. Her likely opponents, Charles Lutin and Jennifer Strahan, the darling of anti-Trump Republicans, are unknown to most voters. At least 85% of GOP primary voters have not heard of either, said the poll memo.
“She has an amazing 68-10 favorable rating — up from 48-12 in July — despite the addition of Democratic parts of Cobb County in recent redistricting,” said the memo.
She is also well-funded, unlike her potential foes.
The district is strongly pro-Trump. Some 70% of the Republicans polled said that the former president “was the actual winner” in the 2020 election, and an equal amount wanted him to run again.
It also showed that Trump-backed former Sen. David Perdue is gaining on Gov. Brian Kemp in the gubernatorial primary.

Greene, who is close to Trump, can also be an influence in other races through endorsements, said the survey. More than 7 in 10 Republicans said she is effective, and 36% said they would be “more likely” to back a candidate endorsed by her.
In Washington, she is leading the effort by pro-Trump House and Senate members to primary GOP Trump critics, including Rep. Liz Cheney, and she has been especially critical of the so-called liberal “squad.”
What’s more, she has defied House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s mask mandate, costing her significant fines, and gone to bat for long-imprisoned Jan. 6 Capitol riot defendants.
“Marjorie Taylor Greene represents exactly the prototype for what voters expect from their representatives in the Biden era,” said pollster Rick Shaftan.
She should become Speaker of the House when the Republicans take over Congress!
This woman has more balls that most of the GOP.
She's neither a leader or a legislator. She'd do better at keeping whoever is Speaker in line.

I wouldn’t want to live in Atlanta nor anywhere near (I think Cobb county is near Atlanta), but I’d forget all that just so I could vote for her. She’s a real patriot. God bless her.
Heck, you could live as far north as a Georgia suburb of Chattanooga and vote for MTG.

You would need to replace all 145 that voted for Liz Cheney in Feb.
Tend to agree with you. A major reason she has all ths time to be a gadfly is because the DemonRats stripped her of all committee assignments earlier this year because of her outspoken temperament.
She was a business owner and entrepreneur so she has some leadership qualities. She would be good for leading up some assignments by whoever becomes Speaker.
The wrestler guy from Ohio, Jim Jordan, is probly, on track for the speakership. But I would love to see MTG assigned to the retribution detail to help put the criminal dims where they belong since Pelousy and crew have treated her so shabbily. Whatever is left of House dims next fall need to be assigned to dusting the bottles in the company gin cellar.
Did you notice today that some of the dims are getting a glimpse of the light in the tunnel? Bidumb seems to have decided it wouldn’t be a good idea to release Trump’s WH records to the J6 mob. Could be he recognizes that could/would happen to him when Trump comes back?
If the Speaker has the power to exclude Republicans from committees, why should we put any democrats on a committee? Just sayin.

But hey. What can we expect from DoodleDemocrat, who won't even lay to rest the serious allegations that she holds views entirely contrary to the mission of Free Republic. She won't even state clearly and directly, without weaseling:
It would be so easy to refute the allegations! In fact, it would be so easy, that I'll wait.

- That she feels that legal abortion is an abomination.

Can I ask one favor? It’s in the form of an assurance on your part. Can you promise me that I’m literally the only female in the Northern Hemisphere that Laz won’t hit? I would really feel safer if I knew that.
