There is no reason for NYC to recover to a level anywhere near it’s history.
Deep water port, Erie Canal, WWI, immigration to build the railroads etc . . . That’s what built NYC over the past 200 years.
None of that matters now. It was a good run while it lasted.
What was left, the rotting husk, has all been destroyed by King Coomo and Kaiser Wilhelm.
All the goodwill is gone.
Like Ur, it will be covered by the sands of time.
Like Detroit, it’s going to enter a death spiral. Too much infrastructure, too few people. Maintenance fails, infrastructure rots, people leave, less tax money...with a healthy dose of corruption taking what does come in.
