Have been for a while now.
I don’t think “the world” has opinions, people in other countries fall into the same two groups as you have in America so opinions will vary depending on which group you might be in, the percentages may be different though.
Also to be frank there is so much trouble in the world right now with COVID many people have probably barely thought about Jan 6th outside of the U.S., so there may be many people with no opinion about it at all.
I move in circles where opinions of Biden and Trudeau are the same as they are around here, not everyone in foreign countries is anti-American or wants to see the country fail. Smart people realize that our freedom is precarious enough without seeing it extinguished in America, but we’re all up against it these days.
For me, Jan 6th was very likely a staged event with a number of operatives leading a few dupes into a trap. Those dupes just wanted to know why their elected reps had chosen not to do their duty and rule the rigged election invalid. But they were made to appear violent and this fed into a false narrative that serves the current regime but not any higher cause. It is tiresome to hear about the “threat to democracy” from those who have already stolen it from the people. Projection, combined with a willingness to spread any lie or disinformation if it will help hold on to power.
US image “tarnished” abroad after Jan 6?
Yes, the whole world is laughing at us - we let our election be stolen in broad daylight - we install a corrupt retard as President - and anyone who protests it rots in a DC prison without a fair trial.
We open our borders to criminals, regulate a booming economy to death, and literally put America Last in every trade deal or negotiation.
