There’s a bit of a hidden bombshell in these documents. One thing that is revealed is that there was a general prohibition on ALL federal agencies from funding this type of research (I think because of the “dual use” nature, not the GoF issue), and that could only be overriden by the HEAD of a federal agency that wanted to issue the funding.
Meaning if /NIAID funded this, which they did, then Fauci himself personally signed an order to override that prohibition. He can’t “play dumb” this time, we got the receipts.

That’s a good question. The documents were not just hidden away; they had been “disappeared”, and then they “reappeared”, with some trace evidence that could demonstrate to whoever found them that someone had tried to hide them.
That sounds, to me at least, like at least one person in DARPA had a conscience that couldn’t let them sleep at night if they shoved this document down the memory hole as ordered by their superiors. God bless and protect whoever that may be!
