President Biden said Friday he plans to send a small number of U.S. forces to Eastern Europe in the “near term” amid growing fears of a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine.
“I’ll be moving troops to Eastern Europe in the NATO countries in the near term,” Biden told reporters at Joint Base Andrews upon returning from a trip to Pittsburgh. “Not too many.”

and what about the troops from the NATO countries? Are they mobilized?? If not, why not???

This reaction does not compute. How is a token, PC, irrelevant gesture made to look tough—without being tough, even sabotaging it in the same sentence by saying “not too many,” equate to “warmongering”?
NATO should be fully mobilizing every time Russia has an army of 100,000 or more fully mobilized that could threaten NATO countries. It doesn’t matter if the Russkies claim it’s for “training purposes.” The Russkies have done every single invasion since the 1950s under the cover of “training exercises” or “maneuvers.” And Russia is directly threatening all NATO countries in Eastern Europe, stating they should be abandoned by NATO.
