The Pittsburgh bridge that collapsed early Friday was in poor condition, and the state did not allocate federal infrastructure funds for its improvement, according to a report.
The bridge that collapsed near Frick Park injured ten, several of whom were transported to a hospital, Breitbart News previously reported.

They diverted too much money to too many bike trails.
There was not enough left over after allocating free iphones for crack whores squirting out babies
Shhhh... don’t want the sheep to hear this, they will get confused.
Willing to bet that the infrastructure funds went to the same place s the Obama shovel ready jobs bill, unions and the DNC slush funds.
Retirement benefits for government paper-pushers is more important.
I had the unfortunate experience of working as an IT consultant to the Commonwealth when Obama had his massive infrastructure spending. State government was turned upside in a massive rush to spend the money. No organization, no prioritization ... just spend because it was free crap from Washington. The vast majority of government workers are absolute lazy and ignorant morons waiting for their big pay day when they retire. No one at any level of government should be employed by government for more than 12 years - combined: local, state, & federal. There should be zero government unions and zero pensions. Government is not a place to go to get rich.
Probably they were dedicated to Mayor Pete’s surveillance cameras. His surveillance cameras that he calls speed cameras are to go throughout the country so he can monitor everyone no matter where they are. The camera will pick up 5G phones in cars and the license plate. So he knows where every car is and what plates you drive or ride in. Speed is not a national concern. He wants to track people. Your plates and your 5G phone are equivalent to a chip in your head.
This bill is all about surveillance and nothing about bridges.
Correction: Government should not be a place to get rich. Today’s reality is different.
But but but THIS time it work and all roads and bridges will be fixed......
Bingo! There wasn't that much money for actual infrastructure. It was the Green New Deal masquerading as an Infrastructure bill.
...and pockets.
Maybe next time.
They may not have “allocated” the money… but they GOT the money.
Most likely the money went to a state megaproject. Most local projects are left wanting and the local government is responsible to find local dollars for these projects. Most local tax dollars account for about 70% to fund police an fire costs.
At least thats the way it is here in Washington state.
“Pockets” — yes, how silly of me. That’s Priority One, no doubt.
“Brandon lied again.”
Who cares? He got his photo op showing how good he is at spending our money (on mostly things that are NOT bridges).
States like PA with the oldest infrastructure in the U.S. simply don’t have enough dedicated revenues to keep the system in a state of good repair. So they prioritize the repairs based on the condition of each bridge and the volume of traffic it carries.
A bridge like this on a local road will generally not be considered a major priority.
And if it scored 4 out of 9 on its condition report then it would probably be considered “like new” compared to the rest of PA.
There were a lot of complaints about that, but it actually makes sense when you’re dealing with Federal infrastructure funding that should — in theory — be allocated only to projects of national significance or located on a designated national highway system.
Of course they weren’t allocated for the bridge. Infrastructure funds are allocated to the donors who must present an infrastructure cutout.
