This is utterly daft ... animals, cattle (ruminants) in particular, consume plant matter that humans cannot digest.
If they did not consume it, it would eventually rot and release the CO2 it absorbed when it grew.
Either it rots, and releases its CO2 directly to the atmosphere, or it gets eaten by an animal, and its CO2 is released indirectly to the atmosphere (and food is produced as a byproduct).
Anyone who pushes the end of animal agriculture is either a brain-dead idiot or a mass murderer.
Or both.
Plan accordingly.

I often point out that the so-called weather ‘forecasters’ use certain vocabulary every day, because they are so very UNCERTAIN about their ‘forecasts.’. This vocabulary includes: perhaps, chance of, maybe, 30%, partly, some, etc. I point out to my coworkers that if our reports contained any of this phraseology, we would soon be looking for a job.
And these same ‘forecasters’ will not attempt to use their ‘maybes’ and ‘perhaps’ to tell us the weather in 2-3 weeks. No, no, no, that would be ‘speculation.’. And yet they presume to control us with dire computer models that the future is DOOMED unless we return to the stone age. These ‘models’ cannot factor in clouds, rain, and altogether ignore that GIANT SPHERE of heat and light in the sky, the Sun.
They can’t even control a minor virus and they say they can control the weather. How blind a cultist do you have to believe that?

Yup. The first time I explained to a SIL (liberal vegan) that her vegetable’s require animal’s for good soil, she was shocked. Unfortunately, they intend to use nanotechnology to fertilize. Add in big AG’s plan for indoor farming, magic seeds, and AI farming and we have the entire picture/plan. Jack up the price of meat and people will eat their crap. Stock up.
