“Was that wrong? Should I not have done that? I tell you, I gotta plead ignorance on this thing, because if anyone had said anything to me at all when I first started here that that sort of thing is frowned upon... you know, cause I’ve worked in a lot of offices, and I tell you, people do that all the time.”

DA says that he MIGHT not have really hit the guy...
A good lawyer will have him say he was racing the victim to a hospital.
I was taking him to the hospital - honest!
That’s a bad look...
I rode a road bike in the bike lane for 6 years....finally got rid of it and got something I can ride on sidewalks for this very reason.
This was the straw that broke the camels back for me....happened in an area where I ride.....obtw this guy only got 8 years for killing 2 people.
I vote for both
If he’s a white guy..and a legal citizen..he’s in big trouble.
Three first names.
I suppose if he was wearing a mask he could claim someone else stole his truck and hit the guy.
Bump-bump.
never trust a man with three first names ...
I would always give him the benefit of the doubt to the truck or car driver over a pedestrian or bicyclist.
With the high percentage of unsolved murders, he might have calculated that he could dispose of the body and avoid being convicted of wrongful death if he had surrendered to police.
The bicyclist was in the westbound lane of traffic when it was hit by the vehicle.
Bicyclist should not be in traffic lanes because some lumberhead like this guy will come along and smash you like a bug into his grill.
Mug shot in the article is dated 1/4/2022 but the articles states the incident happened just a few days ago.
What an insanely stupidly written story. I had to resort to reading the image of the police report to learn if it was a BI-cyclist or a MOTOR-cyclist who was killed.
I ride my bike on the sidewalks and yield to pedestrians by either stopping or skipping into the road. I am very comfortable riding, but the roads are crazy. A lot of times I ride in the “burbs” and keep an eye equally on mirrors and all directions. I prefer to ride head into traffic and cross over to the “correct direction” if a car is coming. I have done this since I was a kid. It is the safest way, along with riding on exclusive bike paths. Mirrors are your friend, again MIRRORS are your friend. If someone is coming behind you in the lane, assume he is going to kill you and take proper measures.
It’s Arkansas so he should tell the judge he thought it was a deer.
