Stickers blast Biden at gas pumps
NY Post ^ | 12 March A.D. 2022 | Griffin Kelly

Outraged motorists are sticking it to Joe Biden at the gas pumps.

Decals of a finger-pointing President Biden, with the words “I did that!” in big, bold print, have been appearing on fuel pumps across the country — including New York City — as gasoline prices skyrocket.

“I just know everything he’s been doing since he took office has been going downhill. Bring Trump back,” said Harold Frost, 29, of the Upper West Side. “My car has been parked the whole week because of this. I took the train, but it’s dangerous now on the train. You gotta be careful.”

The Post found the stickers — which sell in packs of 100 for $8 on Amazon — on a pump at the Speedway on Bruckner Boulevard in Mott Haven, where an attendant tried to peel it off. Three stickers adorned a Shell pump in Harlem on Broadway...

The stickers first started appearing last year, and have gained in popularity as gas prices continue to surge. The Biden administration banned Russian oil imports in response to the country’s war on Ukraine, but some critics say he was already sabotaging gas prices with his energy policies.

Gas station managers are not fans of the stickers.

“Put it on your car, put it on your house. Don’t vandalize private property,” one Alabama attendant told ABC.

Javier Estrada Ovalles, who sells his own Biden stickers through his company, Automotive Anarchy, told Slate that he’s benefiting from the oil shock, filling nearly 80 orders a day for the cheeky political statements. Kayle Washington got a little nervous when the cost nearly reached $120 for 24 gallons of regular. Kayle Washington got a little nervous when the cost nearly reached $120 for 24 gallons of regular.

They’re leaving them up at my Shell station in Juno Beach. They don’t even bother removing them, because they probably get replaced within the hour.

The stickers "have been appearing on fuel pumps across the country" since shortly after the inauguration, and Biden began his energy sanctions against American voters.

This is only news if you happen to live in an information cocoon like California or the Northeast.

A rather similar "public" action was done in Germany some time back, with pie-chart stickers showing the cost to produce and transport petroleum, the companies' profit, and the ENORMOUS tax burden placed on a liter of fuel. More than sixty percent was GOVERNMENT.

The government was not happy.

Let's make government unhappy again.

I’ve seen the remains of them on gas pumps. The one a couple of days ago just hat the “...HAT!”, but I knew what it was.

Until Karen pulls in, she'll scratch off his head with her key. They know that we know that they voted for ruining our country.

Then it's WWIII and I'll have to put cutouts of Biden's head over Putin's.

Gas station managers are not fans of the stickers. "Put it on your car, put it on your house. Don’t vandalize private property," one Alabama attendant told ABC.

He's right, but it's hard to have much sympathy for business owners like this. Once "self-serve" became the standard operating model for gas stations, many good business practices got thrown out the window. Once you have your customers handling your business equipment, all bets are off.

Check out the cleanliness of the counter behind your local Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks, and then compare it to the self-serve coffee counter at your typical convenience store. The difference is stark.
