Biden's EV plans involve supporting human rights abuses, environmental threats

In his State of the Union Address on Tuesday, President Joe Biden promoted electric vehicles (EVs), trumpeting his plans to establish “a national network of 500,000 electric vehicle charging stations.” In so doing, Biden is unwittingly supporting the worst humanitarian abuses in the world. This is because of the way in which the materials used in manufacturing the batteries that power today’s EVs are obtained.

To obtain a reasonable amount of power per pound of battery weight, EV manufacturers generally use various forms of lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries, so named because the battery’s positive electrode, called the cathode, is largely made up of the highly reactive metal lithium (Li). To keep the cathode stable when a battery is not in use, the lithium is combined in a metal oxide matrix, with different manufacturers using different combinations of metals.

Butt, butt, butt what if you live in a charging station desert? You know where none of the 500k are located nearby..... Oh, I see. Simply move into the population center and problem solved. Well one problem. That being YOU and thinking you have some sort of freedom and independence. Public transit for you.

The goal is to change the world. The strategy is to disguise one’s intentions by claiming it’s for the climate.

“move into the population center”

Yeah because San Fran, Portland, Seattle, NYC and LA are such desirable places to live. /s/

LOL! As if they care about the desirability of where WE live. Just as long as they’re all comfy and safe.

“what if you live in a charging station desert”

Excellent point. Let’s see where they place these charging stations. My guess is they focus on urban areas. They will say they are placing them where the most people live or work.

However the charging stations may be most needed in between urban areas.

They will use all of this to change behavior. Never let a crisis go to waste.

Better than those cities.

/-).

Btw, my 90’s jeep 4x4

STILL passes ca. smog requirements with flying numbers at 330,000 miles

and I didnt have to spend 55000 $ ,that I don’t have ,

while worrying if it’s gonna self ignite and burn a hole in the pavement and start spewing toxic smoke into the environment they are so supposedly worried about..

Let’s Go Brandon !

Meanwhile the liberal progressive pukes in congress for the new green deal are buying up oil stocks. How blatant and out in the open do we need, the green new deal and climate change is a scam on the American taxpayer to fund their globalist plan. WE are paying for border security for 6 foreign nations but our is wide open

They’re gonna find out there’s a limit to the appetite for battery operated vehicles.

There’s too many situations where depending on one is completely impractical.

Bugging out of a southern coastal state during a mandatory hurricane evacuation comes to mind.

That’s perfect for running out of juice and getting every lane blocked.

The long term goal is to prevent private ownership of ICE vehicles, because they provide too much autonomy of movement to individuals. That "freedom" thing is anathema to our new overlord class.

At best, you will be allowed to lease a tiny EV that you don't truly control, that can be redirected or shut off by your overlords if your ESG score drops too low, that is, you are one of those radical extremist "freedom loving" bad comrades.

Want more juice put into your leased mini-EV? Then learn to be a good comrade with a high ESG score.

None of that matters. Our overlords are possessed of cultish zeal. That’s why we won’t extract more gas or petroleum in the USA in spite of soaring energy prices.

That’s what I’m thinking......300 or so miles inland with hurricane landfall 2 hours away the highways will be littered with ‘em.

And wait ‘till 100 ev owners are fighting for 20 charging stations......it’ll be epic.

Bull shit........ Biden’s EV plans are all developed by the United Auto Workers who are scared to death of the knowledge that GM is rapidly going to hell.

GM is run by a woman with an inferiority complex that is totally incapable of saving her company and the UAW jobs.

GM is toast

With 707 hp, and 645 lb-ft of torque, it can tow up 7,200lb very easily.

EV’s are a lot more damaging to the environment that the classical gas powered vehicles!
Studies published.
