Sasse: ‘Obviously’ Trump’s Phone Call to Zelensky Was Not Prefect — ‘There Was A Lot Wrong with It’
Breitbart ^ | 03/20/2022 | Pam Key

Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) said on this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday” that former President Donald Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President and Volodymyr Zelensky that led to his first impeachment “obviously” was not perfect.

Host Trace Gallagher said, “Democrats have pointed to former President Trump’s relationship with Zelenskyy, reported asking for political help in exchange for aid. President Trump also reportedly ordered Mike Pence to not attend President Zelensky’s inauguration back in 2019. Does the former president deserve some criticism for what some say is a poor record on Ukraine and Russia?”

Zelensky and Ukraine are corrupt.

Putin and Russia are corrupt.

Both are true.

Didn't occur. Note the "reported" part of the quote - it's true that was "reported" but in fact it didn't occur.

Anything to distract from Brandon’s mishandling of the crisis.

Ukraine shouldn’t get any aid regardless. They are really desperate to paint this as Trump’s fault despite the somewhat glaring truth: Ukraine wasn’t invaded when Trump was president.
They can spin it as much as possible but the facts remain

Notice they have no problem dredging up back stabbing “Republican” traitors for the Sunday shows.

I would add the Biden’s are corrupt. I would also add that President Trump had a duty to make sure that the Biden corruption in Ukraine was investigated prior to sending more hard earned taxpayer money to that country. And anyone that would question that duty is not fit hold a position of authority in the government.

I wonder if Gallagher asked about Biden boasting how he got the Ukrainian prosecutor fired after threatening to pull US aid?

Puhlease! Trump simply asked Z to reduce the corruption in Ukraine. Biden is on video actually extorting the Ukraine to stop the investigation of Burisma, which would have exposed his son’s board seat and monetary gain in the energy sector he knew nothing about. It was obvious play for pay. Then he bragged about how he got the the Ukraine to fire the lead investigator. Sheesh.

Funny how no one wants to explain what the quid pro quo was, who are the fact witnesses if any, or if the timeline of events showed if it actually happened.

Correct. If the tables had been turned and Trump had demanded that a Ukrainian prosecutor be fired who was investigating a company that Don Jr. was making money from, the Dems would have impeached him for THAT, exactly the same thing that Biden did.

Obviously, the phone call wasn’t “perfect”. The situation that lead to the phone call made “perfect” impossible. I can only imagine the frustration Trump felt fighting the swamp, with Russia, Ukraine, NATO allies, our own government and even some within his administration conspiring to oust him while covering up the crimes of his political adversaries.
