On Friday’s “PBS NewsHour,” New York Times columnist David Brooks stated that President Joe Biden’s poor approval numbers on his handling of Ukraine are a reflection of partisanship and “we’re just not as resilient a country as we were when you could get beyond party labels.”
Host Judy Woodruff stated, “48% — by 11 points people disapprove of his handling, compared to 37% approve. But when you ask people what about the specifics of the administration’s policy, namely, should we be sending armed forces, 70% say no. That’s the president’s policy. Should we provide weapons? 72% say yes. That’s the president’s policy. Enforce the no-fly zone, 52%, small majority, say no. That’s the president’s policy. So, there is a contradiction, what do we make of all this?”

It was a magical night. I thought that nothing could top it; then 2016 happened. 1994 was still pretty great. Which year was it when Carville out the wastebasket over his head? That was also one to remember.
Judy Woodruff can only be this dense on purpose. Biden’s weakness in Afghanistan, his slowness to act, his assurances that American wouldn’t intervene if Russia invaded, his feckless energy policies - all encouraged Vladimir Putin. Even my dead cat has more sense than poor old Judy.
How about his policy of telling Zelenskyy he’d be welcomed into NATO? How about the operation of our extensive bioweapons program there? How about the billions of Biden family corruption spanning China, Russia, AND Ukraine, no doubt along with elsewhere?
Biden’s deterrence failed. Period. That’s why a plurality of people have little-to-no confidence in this husk that looks like Joe Biden. Biden may not be saying he’s going to commit the US military, but considering his presidency thus far are you willing to bet that he won’t ultimately do that?
David Brooks is a Democrat posing as a conservative.

Democrats do shove quite a bit on Americans, the vast majority of whom disagree with. Is that partisanship too?

One of the funniest things I've ever seen on TV involved her. It was election night 1994 and Republicans had just taken back the House AND Senate in sweeping majorities. It was historic.

I laughed hysterically and with great joy having worked a number of campaigns starting in 1993 and through the election in 1994, one of millions of people who worked our asses off diligently and with purpose to neuter the Clinton Presidency.
What happened? We took our country back. Fiscal responsibility was restored for the first time in decades, the budget was balanced and operated at a surplus. Welfare reform happened and things were going the right way. At least for awhile.
Back to what I wanted to say: Judy Woodruff is the poster child for everything that is wrong with the "news media" and why not a single word that exits any of their pie holes can be trusted to have even a smidgen of truth.

I took it as “Republicans won’t support Biden no matter what” and “we aren’t as resilient as a country as we used to be because people (ie those on the Right) won’t support the president even in a foreign policy situation. To which my response is “do you remember the Trump years”? “Do you remember how Democrats, The Corporate Media, Big Tech, the Deep state acted?” EFF NO, I will not support Biden.
