On Friday’s “PBS NewsHour,” New York Times columnist David Brooks stated that the number of people trying to come to the U.S. is “probably beyond our capacity to absorb all the people who want to come.” And the current numbers on the border are “flooding the system.”

as some of them bring new diseases like weaponized ebola

I don't know what he means by that. They'll fit in the country. Already there are millions "off the books," here illegally, and as far as I know there is not critical mass assigned to that cohort. Already the immigration legal system is swamped, but any shortfall there could be made up by drafting people into service to be administrators and push the paper around.
Seriously, this "alarming" remark passes without elaboration. "Can't absorb," is nonsense unless explained.
