ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

That is beyond weird. I wonder what they were exposed to.

It’s that weird ugly canopy at the entrance, it must be zapping people’s brains day after day.

It would be interesting to find out what other clusters of cancers or health issues are associated with the school or community.

Whatever the cause is, I would be surprised if it only caused brain tumors. I could see that causing a whole host of other kinds, that maybe aren’t so rare and don’t attract attention that a cluster of something rare would.

More than likely, they built the school on land that had been used as a chemical dump site ...

Statistically .... this makes am interesting claim (suggestion, at least).
But it is way more likely than the claim that Joe Biden was actually elected President.
Is it funny how the headlines get written in a way to support a pre-formed conclusion?

Sometimes a cluster is just a cluster. High-density area, more people, not necessarily a higher rate of cancer. 1,300 students per year. Open since 1967. How many thousands of staff over the years? Could it be something else in the area and the school is just the easiest way to lump them all together?

There are toxic waste dumps all over the state. Maybe the school wasn’t the problem, but the whole environment where they lived was the problem.

The other possibility might be an over-powered wireless network.

RF radiation can play havoc with health.

I worked in an office at a power plan that was adjacent to the plant’s three main transformers.

I heard brain tumors had killed some of the staff.

I worked on this campus and occasionally, visited friends in building 500 it was near the cafeteria and had easy parking.
Everyone knew about the cancers, my friends that worked in the building said it was thoroughly investigated and not to worry.
Before I retired the entire 12(?) story building was removed.
An article about it.

Cancer Cluster
Twenty years ago, Chicago explored the proliferation of brain tumors among Amoco researchers at a Naperville facility.

I grew up one town over. We used to pick wild blackberries not far from the high school.

I wonder if neighbors to the school are suffering the same effects. It’s all residential.
