Removing one’s mask is not at all the same thing as walking around with genitals exposed, but some put the two different acts in the same category.
Repeat after me - Masks. Do. Not. Work. Certainly not for the purposes claimed for them. Masks might stop a little particulate dust, but certainly not virus particles.
Masks are, and always have been, performance theater.
My roommate Mr K - not the one on this forum - has to wear a mask on a regular basis, especially when doing demolition on older buildings. It’s probably one of the reasons he’s still alive today.
But wow, did he ever hate having to wear one every day on the job for almost two years! LOL I kept saying, “Dude, I would LOVE to go around wearing a mask all the time at work!” and he just didn’t laugh at all. What a sorehead.
