Four burglars going after one residence? What did they think was in that house that would make it worthwhile for that many people breaking in? But then, maybe they were planning to kidnap somebody.

In New Jersey the homeowner would likely be charged with murder for the crime of being prepared (that means the shootings were premeditated) to fight off invaders, and the crime of holding the others at gunpoint (brandishing a firearm).
