I thought so, too, but he has zero change to win in the primary. Walker has taken almost all of the votes that King woould have otherwise gotten.

I was living in Columbus GA after I got out of the service. I was stationed at Ft Benning and just stayed down there off and on for about 10 years. Enjoyed watching him he win the national championship and the heizman

I also had a signed autograph by him

Anyone that runs for public office must be able to speak effectively. It is part of their job description and represent minimum requirements in my book. If they can’t do that it is fair game to criticize them.
However those criticisms don’t apply to Herschel Walker IMO. He seems to communicate OK.
I didn’t hear what Erick said but I suspect his problem with Herschel lies elsewhere and he was just using that as an excuse.

I was born there in 1959.
I heard that Walker was the Valedictorian of his High School Senior class - he is no dummy.
My county in PA (Montgomery) is rather Leftist - there was a ton of cheating here in 2020 according to 2000 Mules. The small college town where I vote has also become Leftist, but I doubt there is any cheating in my town.
In fact, while I was voting, a man came in and was pleading with the poll workers to take a ballot out to the parking lot to his elderly mother who had a broken leg and didn’t want to use the wheel chair because it was too painful.
The poll workers sympathized, but they all agreed that was a no-no and refused the request. I was pleasantly surprised.
I guess the lesson is that not all Leftists are cheaters. There seems to be a poorer and more urban breed of Leftists that is more prone to cheating - either because city Leftists are more militant, or because they are accustomed to crime taking place around them - and are afraid to interfere.
There is no crime in my little town - my Leftist neighbors are more the well-to-do, idealistic, virtue-signaling type of Leftists you find in small church towns - brainwashed but honest.
They put up BLM yard signs right next to their “support the police” yard signs - no kidding.
Walker is very intelligent. You realize that after a few minutes of speaking with him. It ticks me off that the GOPe treats him as a ignorant black guy (which is about the way Erick Erickson was speaking about him). I hate it that conservative black people are treated as if they are less intelligent than the GOPe white guys who make decisions as to who will be allowed to run for political positions in the state of Georgia.
On a side note, there is a big kerfuffle going on in the town of Athens, Georgia where Walker played college football at UGA. One of the county commissioners said that Georgia football players are rapists.

Wow, how long did you live there? Long enough to see what it looked like to miss the old days? Or was your father in the military and so you really have no recollection of it?
I last returned there in the mid “80”, and it changed, but not as much as it has since. I have seen google maps of it and it is like totally different.
I lived in Columbus Ga, and Phoenix City Al, off and on so I still have friends down there.

I am a Bama fan and unfortunately Athens is even more liberal than Tuscaloosa. Walker is by far my favorite Bulldog.
