The Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., was shut down Saturday morning after a crowd of seniors from Georgetown University left broken bottles and spilled wine on the monument's steps.
Hundreds of students had gathered to watch the sunrise Saturday after the senior ball on Friday. A few took a dip in the Reflecting Pool.
The National Park Service announced a brief delay in accessibility to the Lincoln Memorial, saying the group had left debris in the area

While there have been many, I seem to recall a pair of near-contemporary DC rallies with one led by Glenn Beck and the other was a LEFTist gathering. The one led by Beck left a near-to-complete pristine area while the progressives(sic) left a pigsty requiring hundreds of (wo)man-hours to clean.
I’d guess that cleanliness and respect are not innate LEFTist values!
Send the cleanup bill to the Prevost of the University with a letter advising that Georgetown students and staff are barred from the grounds until paid.

Glad that cleared it up! The headline made it sound like drunk old people.
The newly minted Oberlords left their trash for the serfs to clean up.
The most effective response would have been for the police to move in immediately and arrest all involved for public drunkenness, littering, and whatever other quality of life offenses could be charged. Broken windows policing, etc.
Just charge them. Put a mark on their permanent records. Let these entitled snowflakes explain it as they fan out across the privilegesphere interviewing for jobs.
Just hold on to their degrees for a year if possible. Any prospective employer gets no info.
