Nothing will happen to either agency, the ability to do so without bloodshed has passed. Self-preservation is built into every entity organic or governmental. The foxes are guarding the hen house.

Close it up and bulldoze the damn building. Then create 50 small offices, one in each state, no badges, no guns and rename the bureau to BOI (Bureau of Investigations).
When they need some muscle and guns, call the Sheriff!
I think that was the original intent of the FBI was to provide investigation and laboratory resources, I think they need to get back to that. I can see agents being armed with handguns, perhaps rifles and shotguns as the case may be but nothing like their own strike teams. However, I think, again, the original intent, they will work with local law enforcement is they need more muscle.

Remember JFK?
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
As I was reading this thread I was thinking about JFK. Don’t know what you have in mind but I’ve read tons of books about that assassination over the years, and the possible involvement of investigative and intelligence agencies, and various politicians, in both the hit and the apparent coverup is difficult to ignore.

Where better to hide a criminal conspiracy than inside a “premier” law enforcement organization?
..................................................
That first became obvious to many people immediately before, during, and after the tragic events in Dallas November 22, 1963.

You are correct ..... To BULLISH, power is not given it is taken. The govt took it, and we MUST take it back if we want it back.

This is why they had to keep investigating Trump. Trump could fix the executive branch as he was being investigated. it was a simple checkers game

"A more realistic hit would be eliminating the 10% or so of government that no one would notice is missing. It would have to include entire departments." Start with Senior Executive Service (SES)
B4 SES the highest pay grade for non-appointed goverment employees was Grade 15.
SES positions allowed the big wigs to break all the ceilings for pay, vacation and other goodies, this is how they exceeded General Schedule limits.

The CIA was always corrupt since the 1950s. The Dulles brothers totally screwed our nation. When it comes to behind-the-scenes intrigue, no one could out-sinister Allen Dulles, director of the CIA from 1953 to 1961. Dulles’s job, simply put, was to hijack the US government — for the benefit of the wealthy (deep state).

What needs to happen is REAL oversite by firing individuals who either are not doing their jobs or who are protecting establishment / connected individuals. Trump fired Comey for violating DOJ guidelines to protect Hillary. That led to a special council against Trump and associates, when it should have been the other way around.
