OAKLAND, Calif. (KRON) â Warriors head coach Steve Kerr joined hundreds of parents, students and teachers in Oakland for a rally Tuesday calling for police to be taken off of Oakland school campuses.
Tuesdayâs rally and march was put on by the âBlack Organizing Project,â which has been working for nearly a decade on this issue.
Kerr has been vocal about supporting the Black Lives Matter movement and on Tuesday in Oakland, he spoke about the importance of educating yourself and listening to those affected by racial injustice.

One might think his son would understand the need for armed protection at schools. I would venture to postulate that Steve Kerr has an understandable visceral fear reaction to any gun violence, and he couples that with any protective notions he has toward any group. I would guess he might not want prison guards to have guns.
He should tell the gangbangers in Chicago to put down their weapons first. From what I read, at least 41 children under 18 died in Chicago in 2021 due to gunfire. And that was reported in September of 2021.
