A veteran Russian legislator has issued an appeal to Vladimir Putin to stop military action, bring his troops home and end the war in Ukraine.
Communist deputy Leonid Vasyukevich, 69, blasted the use of Moscow’s servicemen in Ukraine, as a Russian court dismissed more than 100 national guardsmen in the first case of soldiers refusing to fight in Ukraine as politicians demanded the army return home.
Members of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, a separate military branch from the Russian army refused to carry out an assignment related to Moscow's 'special operation' in Ukraine.
A military court in Russia's southern republic of Kabardino-Balkaria found that the defendants 'arbitrarily refused to perform an official assignment' and turned down their appeal.
The hearing was held behind closed doors to avoid revealing 'military secrets,' according to the Moscow Times.

I fear that Biden and Europe intentionally goaded Russia into this conflict as an excuse to launder billions/trillions of dollars while provoking a potentially nuclear conflict in order to seize more control of the world and its people.
The media and politicians (and even some freepers) are quick to call those of us questioning this whole endeavor as “putin supporters.” That should give you reason to question our motives.
That being said, putin can die and the world would be better off.
They refuse an order and they only get fired? Not fired on by a firing squad?
That would be the procedure in wartime. Russia’s official position is that there is no war. Just a Special Operation.

Russia did not declare war so they got fired for refusing to deploy. War laws are different than Putin’s “special operation.”
Also in other good news, 3 month service contracts are expiring for many Russian troops in the field and they are refusing to re-sign their contracts and leaving immediately after expiration. Too funny...

We Americans have had controversial wars, too (especially Vietnam, but to some extent EVERY war after WW2) with some active duty military refusing to serve.
True. And the 3-month contracts for Putin’s remaining cannon fodder on the Donbas front are expiring right now and they’re getting the hell out and going back home. Too funny.

This is an autonomous Republic in Russia, it is granted a lot of self governance.
It’s 70% muslim with Turks and Bulgarians (Yes it’s far from Bulgaria)
They are not going to suddenly kill 100 of them.
