A University of Pennsylvania professor drew ridicule online for suggesting that first responders waited too long to engage the shooter in Uvalde, Texas last week because “police didn’t give a damn” about “brown kids.”
In a since-deleted tweet from Friday, UPenn Religious Studies and Africana Studies Professor Anthea Butler — who is also an MSNBC contributor — suggested that racism was responsible for the police failure to stop a gunman at a Texas elementary school in an attack that left 19 children and two adults dead.

Police allowed Texas schoolchildren to die because they were from the government and part of a massive government bureaucracy.
Almost all the police I saw on TV were brown too, so they hate their own skin?

80% of the community is ‘brown’. The shooter was ‘brown’. The vast majority of the police on the scene were ‘brown’.

Real professors in non-STEM departments are a rare thing in our modern universities. Yes they exist, but rare. I’d like to see a good lib arts professor of the past do an analysis of the quality of these modern clowns compared to those who taught the greats of the past.

If I were a young man today I’d go to a trade school. I’d learn a trade: Electrical work; plumbing; HVAC; etc.

Note this professor’s academic credentials. She will have, most likely, a slap on the hand from UPenn and a short stint of non-appearance on MSNBC.
When I grew up in Los Angeles there were plenty of Mexican-Americans who were no more brown than my Finnish @$$ was. What BS.

Like most (maybe All!) Ivy League universities, Penn with its endowment could go on existing for a couple of centuries with no students. So why does it care what its alumni, future students or anyone else think as long as they can claim their faculty is diverse. It will continue to hire morons to keep that DE&I gold star rating. Actual scholarship? What’s that?
The police were only following orders. We don’t want any more George Floyd’s happening you know.
