Gays have served honorably for decades. The problem is not gays, the problem is the f’ing DOD promoting one group over another in the military. That has been going on for awhile. In the 70s in Marine Corps boot camp, I was taught we have light green Marines and dark green Marines, but in the end we are all Marines. That has not changed. I challenge anyone to prove there is a systemic racism problem in the military. Not platitudes or supposition, give me proof. The DOD routinely practices racial segregation with it's non-white male monthly celebrations. They claim they do it to level the playing field.

Now you have a new special group of rainbow Marines and Sailors added to the mix. Instead of identifying as Marines or Sailors many identify with a sex act first and as a service member second. I never understood this. You wear jewelry the identifies you with a sex act? I am a father, a husband, a Sailor, former Marine among other things, but heterosexual is at the bottom of the list.

You can force tolerance, you cannot force acceptance. Because the DOD segregates service members by race, sex and sexual proclivities they are left with ordering tolerance. Despite Austin and Miley, because of our shared experiences, I still no signs of racism. Sexism is only an issue, because of all the woke, #metoo BS. Male service members have to be very careful about mentoring females. Some males will not take the risk.

After Nam the lions left and the lambs took over. Same has occurred today only now there is a massive Beltway gay lambs lobby in the Pentagon.

I’m almost willing to bet that this recognition was not that of the average Marine, but of some boot-licking higher-up. Whoever it was should be ashamed.
