The more gratuitous adjectives a headline/article contains, the more lies it contains.

LOL. 10% of the profit gone for McD, 45% for Renault - that’s definitely a win, or so they say.

Exiting Russia was extremely costly for these companies, it’s rather suspicious that their stock price would rise as a result. Were there some under the table financial incentives involved that we haven’t been told about? Something fishy about this.

How did Disney survive the pandemic when every aspect of their business was hit: cruises, parks, movies, etc.? And don't anyone tell me they were saved by Disney+.

Woke companies have woke shareholders and woke indexes.

Russian lifespan has increased by 10 years now that McDonald’s has left.

The Russians are better off without woke American corporations spreading LGBT and the destruction of normal family life.

Renault did just fine, they sold a plant near Moscow for $1.

This is one dollar they would have not earned otherwise!

They did the right thing and I’m even thinking about doubling their profit — all by myself. Once I figure out where to send the check ...

If they are out of business in a couple years it is going to be recognized among the most stupid decisions in the history of commerce.
Russian is the top Renault market, not even the French buy so much. Outside Russia and France nobody even wants to hear about Renault.

Unconfirmed story is that they have an option to buy the plant back — for the same price.

So they may end up being just fine yet.

Not true. They gave away their plant in Moscow. The option is for the share in Lada. There is fight right now between the Chinese Geely and JAC over the Moscow plant, if Lada is to turn to domestic or Chinese technology, Renault is going to wipe its butt with the option.
