People are put in a situation where their senses are stimulated into almost ‘being there’ too, bypassing the years of study, training, and practice, to where many a kid wants that life, not seeing all that goes into it, much of it boring and tedious.
Even Mr Cruise performing his own stunts in his movies is not unique. Many before him have done the same. (Although I would like to see him take a few dives off a horse at full gallop on hard ground. While I feel I’m a competent horseman, I know the feeling, and it is among the most painful I’ve felt in my 67 yrs).
