Well of course. I know that. My point is it won’t “run out of money”. They will simply devalue all of our money by printing more. Welcome to the Weimar Republic 2.0.

Well, they could always start a war. Always a popular option with insolvent governments.

No worries, Congress has the solution: just print ANOTHER $9 trillion in baseless currency. What could possibly go wrong?

Bingo. We're all get paid in Social Security. But it won't be worth much when we collect it

Here is a fix. Other countries have done something similar.

How Three Texas Counties Created Personal Social Security Accounts and Prospered
https://www.forbes.com/sites/merrillmatthews/2011/05/12/how-three-texas-counties-created-personal-social-security-accounts-and-prospered/?sh=208f0c683283

And those who retire under the Galveston model do much better than Social Security. For example:

A lower-middle income worker making about $26,000 at retirement would get about $1,007 a month under Social Security, but $1,826 under the Alternate Plan, according to First Financial’s calculations.

A middle-income worker making $51,200 would get about $1,540 monthly from Social Security, but $3,600 from the banking model.

And a high-income worker who maxed out on his Social Security contribution every year would receive about $2,500 a month from Social Security vs. $5,000 to $6,000 a month from the Alternate Plan.

The privatization model (so-called) won’t fly with Congress and the media. Baghdad Bush tried it. Failed. Did even Trump try it?

Won’t do it because it’d work. They haven’t tried working solutions for decades, on any problem. The first and only goal is money laundering for power.

At what point in time will current USA workers stop paying into Social Security, since no future USA workers are going to be dumb enough to believe that someone else is going to pay for their Social Security and Medicare?

They’ll just implement an “equitable” payment system where white males are paid last.

You might also thank Bill Clinton for taxing your benefits and Lyndon Johnson for rolling Social Security into the general revenue in order to pay for the Great Society. I have paid into SS and Medicare for 52 years. I won’t live long enough to even get my money back.

Not since 1913, no.

"We are 30 trillion in debt. We are already broke."

As the saying goes -

"How can I be broke? I still have checks!"

That’s ok. America will not last as it ONCE was for another 13 years.

That is fine if you are still working but what about us blue hairs that have left the work force and have paid into it for 30+ years.

It is a great solution for younger folks

Don’t worry. If the dems are in power they will replace it with a scheme to take money from anybody who still has any. That’s if they don’t turn the country into Venezuela first.

Social Security only has 13 years before it goes broke.

That’s what they were saying thirteen years ago.

They should’ve started means-testing it years ago. I have a good pension & could live without it, although I have a sister on SSI & I have to supplement the meager benefit she receives. I’d still be okay.
