Former President Donald Trump on Friday offered his first public comments since the House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the U.S. Capitol began to reveal the extent of his attempts to remain in power. The committee has presented harrowing video footage and searing testimony, including accounts from Trump's close associates and members of his family.
Trump called the hours of testimony — in over three days of hearings so far — "a complete and total lie." He spent much of his speech blasting the committee's efforts as politically motivated, and insisting he'd done nothing wrong.

Do you know if there’s a part of the constitution that says that basically senators and representatives can say anything they want I believe it says on the house floor. They can’t be held to account for constitutionally, and that’s why they can spread slanderous stuff because I believe they’re protected but if this committee is made against the rules then they would be under the law and I will try to sue them saying that they’re not protected under that constitutional part
Article I, Section 6, Clause 1:
The Senators and Representatives shall receive a Compensation for their Services, to be ascertained by Law, and paid out of the Treasury of the United States. They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place.

I’m not a betting man but do you think they might have spliced some audio from the way back machine where he said ‘grab them by the P____!’ I’m sure there were plenty of ‘wimp’ comments to splice too.
IMHO any off the cuff statement by anyone is allowed. The hell with political correctness, not all humor succeeds and likely Trump made a stupid joke. Last he did not even know he was being recorded.
President Trump has more decorum than I under these circumstances so, I will say it. Pence is a gutless, worm. A despicable Luke Warm excuse for a man.
And, quite likely a Stealth Establishment RINO mole in President Trump’s administration.
Most have forgotten that it was Pence who was responsible for the False Accusations against General Flynn and responsible for the good General’s ouster and ALL of the misery that good man suffered through for YEARS!
When their side gets caught when not knowing they were being recorded, they take legal action against the one who held the mike.
“Weasel” comes to mind. I don’t see any way he can overcome it. Political s******e.

pMSNBC did it in that Zimmerman/Martin case, with video footage No reason why they couldn’t do it with audio.
Roberts, the yellow back coward, should have brought the TX V PA case and ruled the way the constitution required.
PA violated the equal protection clause of the US Constitution..as did several other states.
There is no longer equal protection among the states any longer as a result.
So therefore...the Union is dissolved..right Mr Chief Justice? Unless you care to bring the case up and rule on it..there is no such thing as the UNITED states.
