Do you remember Trump’s inauguration in 2017? Rioters set fires, harassed and assaulted people, threw bricks, and worse.

None of the rioters were ever really held accountable, and now they’re getting a big cash settlement over their arrests.

The city of Washington has reached a $1.6 million settlement in two lawsuits that included allegations of arrests without cause and excessive force on protestors during the inauguration of former President Donald Trump in January 2017.

An old story, but well worth remembering in light of the Media-Dem Party's "January 6th" televised extravaganza.

The settlement makes sense. I mean how else are the rioters going to get money to continue their passion?

Heaven forbid the rioters should quit their passion and go to work like the rest of us.

Has anyone done a proper comparative cost to property damage between January 20, 2017 and January 6, 2021?

That proper assessment would not include any costs offered up by the Capitol Police as those would be inflated, same for any costs to damage to the Capitol Building which would be inflated far beyond the real value for political purposes.

Maybe the Jan 6 defendants who were thrown into jail and held there without a speedy trial can get a billion out of the US Gov for wrongful prosecution and a breach of Constitutional Rights.

Our justice system has been the best money can buy for well over a hundred years.

"Maybe the Jan 6 defendants who were thrown into jail and held there without a speedy trial can get a billion out of the US Gov for wrongful prosecution and a breach of Constitutional Rights." You DO realize it's the TAXPAYERS, not gimmedats, that will fund the Settlements? I think that the EBT's should be used to pay the Defendants in Lawsuits by Taxpayers.......

.... I agree on inflated! I want to see an itemized list of what was damaged in the Capitol on January 6 and the cost of replacement or repair. I have seen a total in the millions which seems way out of line with the damage that we have seen.

Well now we know how to make money.

Dye your hair pink, dress up in black, show up outside the RNC convention and set fire to some cars.

Then you hit the jackpot. /sarc

Do you remember Trump’s inauguration in 2017? Rioters set fires, harassed and assaulted people, threw bricks, and worse.

... and kept many Trump supporters away from the inauguration. I was one of those people. After the harassment at the 2001 and 2005 Bush 2 inaugurations, which I attended, I did not want to take the chance of violence in 2017.

The website/ group called ShutDownDC is currently active. Anyone can look at their website. It is disturbing.

“...excessive force on protestors...”

__________

Were any of them shot in the neck and killed in a brutal and premeditated manner?

Did any of them end up having a river of brutalized protestors, funneled by care-free crowd-control flatfoots, trample across their prone, motionless bodies, so as to crush out of them every last ounce of life?

That’s what you call excessive force. Proven without adult by the lethal results produced thereby.

Proof that the government and antifa are linked and antifa is its paramilitary wing. They are now paying their army for services rendered.
