It is time to move the Capitol. Fold DC into Maryland. I have no desire to visit DC anymore. The moment I step across the DC border I am subjected to dangers on my life and stripped of my constitutional rights, particularly the right to carry a weapon to defend myself against Democrats.

How much is DC going to have to pay the J6ers for their fraudulent arrests? Justice is just another system broken by the woke far left.

The city of Washington has reached a $1.6 million settlement

Settlement is coddling by sanctuary city for Democratic party; January 6 Committee is persecution by weaponized Justice Department on behalf of Democratic party. Merely two sides of the same coin.

This is just like the Obama / Holder scam where they sued and had their communist corrupt DOJ “Settle” with extreme leftist organizations and hand over billions in taxpayer money to communists. Total scam. Total looting of the treasury by the communists.

It would be perhaps the best investment we ever made if it made the Justice Department and the FBI accountable.

I didn’t follow this issue, but there could be much more nuance going on here. Lets talk about Jan 6th, there clearly were some rioters that deserve harsh treatment, then some memaws randomly wondering around that were also arrested. I can see the second group should not be treated as harshly as the first. I can see the same thing applicable at the inauguration, if the people in the law suit just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and were caught up in police brutality, they deserve to be recompensed. We have rights to be left alone if we are protesting legally. It would be nice to have some examples if the people receiving the award were also violent offenders. If that is what happened then I can understand the outrage.

There were 200 . I have the names. And followed some of the cases. Started as Felony II none really stood before a judge. The lawyers had the cases all thrown out. I think some of the defense was cell phone data not admissible.

Proof:
Do you remember Trump’s inauguration in 2017? Rioters set fires, harassed and assaulted people, threw bricks, and worse.

None of the rioters were ever really held accountable, and now they’re getting a big cash settlement over their arrests.

The city of Washington has reached a $1.6 million settlement in two lawsuits that included allegations of arrests without cause and excessive force on protestors during the inauguration of former President Donald Trump in January 2017.

Claim (somehow) is that the Jan 6 “riot” caused 1.5 million in damages. Not clear what Pelosi is claiming. Maybe her staff salaries for wahing the floor that night?

Two windows were broken - there were real damages. A flagpole taken?

Without seeing such data, it would be hard to say how inflated repairs might be. Remember for a lot of what might have been damaged you can’t just run over to Home Depot and buy a replacement. Window framing will have to be custom built to match except it may have to be thicker to hold especially thick, bank style plexiglass. THey may be planning to replace a lot of other potentially vulnerable windows and doors. I could not tell if marble surfaces had been smashed or seriously stained, but if so, they will have to find the same color and pattern of marble, don’t know how hard that will be. I do know I am trying to repair a decorative apartment tile floor I laid 15 years ago. I used reddish brown saltillo tiles, but all I can find now are a light color I call baby BM tan. A strip about 3 feet wide by 12 feet long was ripped up to replace a sewer line.
