What a revolting attempt at an opinion piece. He hates the Constitution because it doesn’t produce the partisan and ideological results he wants. No concern for the stability it has achieved or its endurance as the longest surviving governing document. His argument is an epic fail in logic and persuasion. It does accomplish something. It reveal me him as a hollow man.
When leftists create a dictatorship, the first thing they do is produce a new Constitution to replace the “outdated” Constitution under which they seized power. More and more articles are appearing about the outdated Constitution, the undemocratic Constitution, and the Constitution written by racists.
The onslaught of media stories about the Constitution signals a campaign to replace, not amend the Constitution. Some day a young, charismatic, and committed communist will be elected president during a financial crisis or war. She or he will also have a majority in both houses of Congress, support of the bureaucracy, and support of the woke military. After taking office the president will announce the old racist constitution prevents him from dealing effectively with the crisis. She or he will declare a national emergency, suspend the Constitution, send Congress and the Supreme Court home, and appoint a “blue ribbon” committee of Constitutional experts to draft a new Constitution. Within weeks the document (already drafted and in waiting) will be revealed and by decree adopted by the new dictator who will have unlimited powers under the new Constitution.
Half of the nation will applaud and the other half will endure a year of terror as the military goes door to door confiscating guns and arresting dissidents who will be sent off to indoctrination camps, never to be heard from again.
This scenario has played out time after time. The propaganda campaign to soften up and condition the public is well underway. The public has already accepted broad censorship of media and individual speech. The public has accepted suspension of due process. The public is conditioned to accept an end to firearm ownership. Don’t forget the Brits and the Aussies willing gave up their gun rights. Covid lockdowns and vaccine mandates softened up the public for government by decree.
It may happen before the 2024 election. A scenario: After the election Harris resigns. Biden appoints Newsome as VP and within weeks steps down. Newsome assumes office and after the next mass shooting or bombing declares a national emergency and suspension of the Constitution. The dominos are in place.
Correction. It reveals him as a hollow man.
