Zappa was a non-conformist avant guard performer.that the suits really accepted or promoted.
Their movie Head (written by Raphelson and Jack Nicholson) was kind of a swansong and stuck their finger in the eye of the establishment.

Shouldn't the government be applying the same dictatorial policy it applied during Covid--contact tracing, phone apps, forced vaccination of populations, limiting travel, etc.
Or is it because the disease is primarily in one segment of the population that is a "protected class" that dictatorship doesn't apply?
The answer is pretty obvious to me.

Those of us old enough to remember the 80’s have heard this one before. “Reagan isn’t doing enough on AIDS” was a constant refrain until somebody suggested mandatory quarantine and closing the bath houses. Turned out “protect our fun” trumped “protect our lives”, literally. And this disease isn’t even fatal.
