Charges were dropped Thursday against a New York City bodega worker arrested for the murder of man seen on surveillance video first coming behind the cashier's desk and attacking the employee.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office faced harsh criticism for bringing the charge against Jose Alba earlier this month despite footage suggesting the deadly stabbing was justified as self-defense.

I’m not going to hold my breath waiting for them to arrest the girlfriend who started the whole thing and stabbed Jose Alba. She needs to be locked up.
Bragg would have thrown the innocent man in jail for life if he had been able. He needs to be thrown out of office.
If people aren’t allowed to defend themselves with guns they will use knives.
It’s as simple as that.
He’s lucky he has some melanin, otherwise the murder charge would stand, guaranteed.
This should not end the inquiry. Why were the charges even brought?
