As Russia's invasion of Ukraine hit the five-month mark on Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy pledged to continue inflicting "the greatest possible losses on the enemy."
"Even the occupiers admit we will win," Zelenskyy said in a video address on Sunday. "We hear it in their conversations — all the time, in what they tell their loved ones when they contact them."
Ukraine will celebrate the Day of Ukrainian Statehood on Thursday, a new national holiday that was decreed by Zelenskyy last August.

It is not in Ukraine’s interest to negotiate now. It is in Russia’s interest.
If Russia could strike a cease fire now, they would control the Dombass and the landbridge and Kherson and Mariupol. They would have all of Ukraine’s oil assets. And they could regroup, and rebuild their forces. Then with a stranglehold on Ukraine, they could attack again at some future date and take the rest of Ukraine. Depending on how well the west arms Ukraine.
Ukraine has no reason to negotiate. Russia’s forces are spread thin. They’ve lost three fourths of their tanks. Ukraine has finally started to receive weapons that can turn the tide of the artillary war. And they are expecting more.
They have the Russian forces that are in the Kherson trapped with no way to retreat with any heavy equipment.
Ukraine has a very good chance of being able to launch a counter offensive that drives Russia out. They shouldn’t give that chance up.
It’s no coincidence that Belarus now wants the war to stop.
Zelensky has no choice.
He was elected as a “peace President” but was basically told by the most radical nationalist/neo-nazi elements they would fight him (or have him killed) if he made any moves on the Minsk Agreement or ending the conflict in the Donbas which started in 2014.
So he’s merely become the Ukraine neo-nazi and US neocons PR representative there.
The Ukies will continue to punch Russia’s fists with their faces...

Wonder what his definition of “win” is.. losing only hundreds of thousand people instead of a million? Having 60 percent of the country destroyed instead of 75%?
I thought Russia invaded in 2014.
