Prince Charles agreed to take £1million from the family of 9/11 mastermind Osama Bin Laden for his charity despite objections from advisers

Prince Charles agreed to take £1million from the family of al-Qaeda founder Osama Bin Laden for his charity - despite objections from his advisers.

The royal, 73, is understood to have accepted the payment for the Prince of Wales Charitable Foundation from Bakr bin Laden, head of the family, and his brother Shafiq - both half-brothers of 9/11 mastermind Osama.

The agreement was made following a private meeting between Charles and Bakr, 76, at Clarence House on October 30, 2013, two years after the terrorist was shot dead during a special operation by US forces in Pakistan, The Sunday Times reports.

It came despite protestations from advisers at Clarence House and the charity, who are said to have pleaded with him to return the money.

A member of staff at Clarence House is understood to have warned that, if the revelation was to become public knowledge, it would cause nationwide outrage.

Charles was also reportedly told that 'it would not be good for anybody' if it became known that he had accepted the payment from the family of the man behind the infamous terror attack, while another warned of huge reputational damage.

A source told The Times: 'The fact that a member of the highest level of the British establishment was choosing to broker deals with a name and a family that not only rang alarm bells, but abject horror around the world... why would you do this? What good reason is there to do this?'

They added: 'I just didn’t feel any member of the British royal family should be involved in that sort of undertaking.'

But Charles decided against handing the money back to the family on the basis that it was too embarrassing and they would suspect the reasoning behind it.

Well, there’s no decency in that so-called “royal” family, that’s for sure. It’s a wonder Brits continue to support them.

Talk about no common sense or anything else. Charles is and has always been a mental Lightweight with a 2 digit IQ. Totally clueless person who has no conception of real life.

Prince charles has a charity but he does NOT fund it himself?

In fact, he does substantially fund it himself (mostly from the revenues of the Duchy of Cornwall). But the charity also accepts donations from other sources.

Decisions on that are taken by the trustees of the foundation - not normally by the Prince of Wales - this article is suggesting that in this case, he made the decision which is possible though unusual - I'd like to see some evidence to support it. Regardless of who made the decision, it was likely based, in part, on the principle that you don't blame people for who they happen to be related to, or what their surname is.

Actually, I agree with you here. Charles is getting an unfair bad rap here. He has done much good in the world with the charities he sponsors, but the “get Charles” crowd will never portray Charles in any good light. He is not a bad man. His brother Andrew is, Harry because of Megan and his own stupidity is, but Charles’ Achilles heel is some of his “Green” points of view. However, most Europeans, including the future king, his son William, all hew to the Greenie baloney party line.

And all of the EU is suffering now, since the Ukraine War began, from their global climate change beliefs, to the detriment of all of their countries. The EU’ers are globalist fools that will pay for their illogical, irrational and unscientific viewpoints when it comes to the environment. Enviroweenie idiots all.

I swear some how this has Markle and her trainers fingerprints with the timing.
She is wel-connected with Oprah and willing to be used politically to infiltrate.

“Revenge” is a great book about Markle’s rise to fame and how she hopes to gain more powerful connections to run for office.

Charles has never been known to be overly gifted with brains. And, he has demonstrated a strong affinity for “greenie-think”. Libtardism runs strongly in his family, save maybe his mom. So this stupid move on his part does not surprise me.
