When you’re rich and pay no taxes, it really doesn’t matter. If you’re the working poor and middle class and you pay one quarter or more of your salary to the government... It matters a lot

Some flaming lib at a party this past weekend told me, that we’ll have a recession because people like me keep talking about it and make everybody scared to spend money.
I told that dude to look at gas prices and make a correct determination about what impact inflation and energy prices have on people.

”The determination of some people to say ‘We’re in a recession!’ is above and beyond anything I’ve ever seen," Krugman continued....I guess he doesn’t remember the lead-up to the 2008 election.

I’ve seen (and shared) videos and pics of both Bill Clinton AND Pelosi saying “a recession is two quarters in a row of negative economic growth or GDP” recently.
That’s the definition of a recession that’s been used for over fifty years now.
We’re IN A RECESSION, period, end of sentence. Dems just want to try to change the definition and deny it as it’s gonna crush them even worse in the midterms.

Wasn't he the idiot who said after Trump was elected in 2016 and the stock market started to take off, that it was only temporary and will crash and likely never recover?
I wonder if he was secretly buying up the stocks that people were selling off after listening to his prediction?

The Left has been fiercely pushing back on the definition of a recession, commonly accepted as two quarters of negative GDP growth, since the Bureau of Economic Analysis report last week showed the GDP contracting .9 percent in the second quarter of 2022. Let's ask Bill Clinton what he thinks:
Youtube: Bill Clinton and what defines a recession.
Oooh. Awkward ....

It certainly seems to matter to Krugman's employers at the NYT or they wouldn't be squealing about it like stuck pigs. "Biden recession" is a concise and potent expression, the definition of which is a matter the NYT nomenklatura feel should be exclusively under their control. Too bad.
