The Russians start their propaganda by pretending to be a majority. The word “Bolshevik” means majority and in fact these commies were a minority when they started out.
Pretending to be a majority creates a bandwagon effect where people will join with the supposed majority simply out of peer pressure.
The same tactic is endlessly practiced by the pro Russian trolls on this very site. They pretend to speak for a majority in hopes they can sway people to support the murderous Putin regime.
Russians incitement and organizational advice raised the numbers and zealotry of people, training them and motivating them to be activists, that in turn scared the politicians, especially when Russian trolling and internet activity made the numbers of activists look much larger than they actually are. (We saw how bots supported the false assumption that there were large numbers of potential boycotted against Rush Limbaugh’s advertisers, causing the advertisers to become afraid of losing customers and drop his show... until he demonstrated what the activists were doing to inflate their numbers.) And the racial division incited by Russia ( and Cuba and the Dems themselves) pleased some of them, since some definitely benefited from it.
Soviet group infiltrated into the western academic world back from the 20’s to the 50’s, and raised a generation of academics who leftists, who have dominated American academia, indoctrinating following generation of students into being leftist.
They also infiltrated Hollywood and the media, influencing our culture.
The effects started to show in society with the 60’s hippie anti-war movement, later with multiculturalism in the 80’s and 90s. Finally culminating with BLM and woke culture we see today.
