Governor Larry Hogan (R-MD) said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that the FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago was a win for former President Donald Trump because it seemed as if he was being martyred.
Anchor Jon Karl asked, “What about Kevin McCarthy, he may the next Speaker of the House, we’ve been trying to get a response from him now that warrant has been unsealed, but him talking about the weaponized politicization of the FBI?”
Hogan said, “It is kind of jumping to conclusions without any information. I was pushing for transparency. If, in fact, they do not have a serious case on serious federal law violations and potentially felonies, they people will make the argument it was all political. Why didn’t you do this for Hillary Clinton when she had confidential documents? Why aren’t people being treated fairly? But this week’s news is not going to be the same as next month’s or next year’s.”
Hogan added, “This week, it was actually a win for Donald Trump. It seemed to motivate his base, people rushing to his defense, people feeling as if he had been picked on and martyred

Larry is deeply saddened. Not because of the unprecedented nature of the raid, but because it benefited Trump and his supporters. What a douche canoe he is.
Next we will start hearing conspiracy theories that Trump himself was behind the raid.

We even prayed for President Trump in my Methodist Church this morning. Not by name, but prayers for the Country were asked for. I thanked the person for asking for prayers, and told her I was going to ask for prayers for unfairly persecuted people.
We should keep our focus on the goal, not the intermediate steps to the goal. Feelings of outrage and righteous moral superiority can only go so far. There is always a next step to take.
This persecution needs to end with high-level firings at the DOJ and the FBI.
And the FBI must be completely dismantled.

Maybe people feel that way because he has.

The dumb half of America will always be dumb enough to believe the fake news. They are hopeless.
But the not-so-dumb half has just been treated to a jaw-dropping dose of injustice from the swamp - they recognize a steaming pile of bullshit when its dropped on them.
It has become crystal clear that threatening to put Americans first, or questioning the fairness of an election, can put a person at odds with the Department of Justice and the FBI - and even land them in jail.
The not-so-dumb half of Americans know that this can mean only one thing: The 2020 election was indeed stolen, and as a result, it is not duly-elected representatives who are running this country. It is an unelected permanent administrative class.
They are the ones who have weaponized our national security state and stolen a Presidential election, and who are now running this country into the ground.
If I’m not mistaken, the Left has far overplayed its hand, and has poked a sleeping giant.
All the woke transgender stuff in schools? Tanking the global economy over climate BS? Lawless cities and borders? Stolen elections? Encouraging assassination attempts against conservative SC justices? And now, raiding the private home of the one man wiling and able to fight back?
They are pissing off the wrong people.

Even a skunk like Hogan can see the left shot itself in the foot with this stunt.
That was the idea. They want to martyr him so that we will get violent. Then they’ll use that as a pretext for a crackdown, getting them ever closer to the absolute power they want so badly.
That clever plan of theirs is not going to work.
