Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, a brazen attack that injected new uncertainty into the nearly six-month war. The Russian authorities said on Sunday that they had opened a murder investigation into the death a night earlier of Daria Dugina, 29, after the Toyota Land Cruiser she was driving exploded on a highway 20 miles west of Moscow and burst into flames, scattering pieces across the road.There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the incident, and no evidence the killing was linked to the war in Ukraine.

I'm not a fan of Putin, the invasion, or Dugin. That said, an assassination attempt like this accomplishes nothing even if Alexander was the target.

Dugin and his daughter have already done their harm to the Russian psyche. They were on the sidelines of Russia's expansionism. Killiing them won't stop Russian expasion, and will provoke some kind of retaliation. Not killing them would have been wiser. 🙏😇

Someone like Prigozhin who owns the Wagner Group, or Dmitry Utkin, its founder and commander who has Nazi SS tattoos on both of his his shoulders?... No comment. 😈😈

You have no idea who carried out the attack or their motivation. Saying it "accomplished nothing" without that info is meaningless.
