Canadians are not allowed carry guns in Canadian national parks.
Park rangers have been carrying guns "for their safety" since 2009.
Park rangers shot two bears in 2014, and another in 2016, in Jasper park, because the bears were dangerous.

When seconds count, Canadian park rangers are only minutes (or hours) away.

Well this is simple - park rangers are more important than hikers and should be armed! /s

[[Carrying a firearm in a national park]]
But it’s not illegal for criminals to carry, or for wildlife to carry (teeth and claws)- only illegal for,law abiding citizens to carry for self defence evidently.

Remember a few months ago when Justin Trudeau said he did not believe Canadians had the right to self defense?
Apparently that’s the WEF line. Emmanuel Macron said the same in France.
They think you don’t have the most basic right - one that precedes human civilization - the right to survive.

Another important fact: There is a surplus of black bears in Canada.
About 20,000 have to be killed each year to keep the population of bears stable.
They are harvested in every Canadian province.
The number of "bold" bears which would be killed to keep people safe, would be a few dozen a year.
Yet the Canadian government pushes the propaganda that it is horrible to kill a bear.

I have been to this park. We did run across a ranger that had a 12 gauge and just a few slugs. Just a few. He looked like one of those Mexican bandits who don’t need badges.

Outdoors/Rural/wildlife/hunting/hiking/backpacking/National Parks/animals list please FR mail me to be on or off . And ping me is you see articles of interest.
There can be similar problems in the US too. Illegal discharge for example. And the bears distance. Better to survive and let the lawyers sort it out.

Park rangers have been carrying guns "for their safety" since 2009.Apparently The Lords have a value to their lives that exceeds that value of the lives of the peasants. That's why park rangers can carry guns "for their safety", but the peasants can not.

Canadians are not allowed carry guns in Canadian national parks. I think that rule applies in many domestic parks. I have to think Hochel has made it illegal in NY parks. The legislation, quickly signed into law by Gov. Kathy Hochul, forbids concealed carry permit holders from bringing their weapons into parks. The public roads within the Adirondack Park are part of the park territory.Jul 8, 2022
