Just wait for the exodus of all these fast food chains out of the state.

The repeated prognostications by Conservatives about California's demise are not working - California keeps getting richer and richer, including a huge budget surplus.

I believe the SCOTUS said that was no longer legal. Of course that doesn’t stop the left from doing it anyway.

Sausage egg biscuit with cheese is $3.59 here; $6 - something for the meal. McD starting wage is $15.

Question: Do all those wimpy, sissy woke corporation guys send millions of dollars to help his campaigns?
Before they go broke.

Heard a brief summary of the woke companies that proudly say they will pay for women to get abortions and to leave the non murder states to get them. Sick.

Fast food business is going out of business fast.

Fast food employees will be robots. They don't unionize. They don't need health care insurance. They don't need human resources.

“Gov. Gavin Newsom just signed Assembly Bill 257 by Assemblyman Chris Holden (D-Los Angeles), to unionize the stateโ€™s 556,000 fast-food workers fast food workers.”

I dont understand something here. Why do fast food workers need government legislation to unionize? Can’t the workers just join together and form a union on their own? Isn’t how that it’s usually done?

I’ll be 42 next Monday, working since I was 17 in a variety of jobs. I have yet to meet a Union member that didn’t get outright hostile, and spew talking points at me when I expressed disinterest in joining a Union.

And that is his right. I wouldn’t join. And the law *should* protect scabs for when the union strikes.

“The repeated prognostications by Conservatives about California’s demise are not working - California keeps getting richer and richer, including a huge budget surplus.”

I’ll caution you against reading too much into California’s budget surplus. The surplus is largely the result of a tiny segment of tech billionaires (and multimillionaires) paying tax on capital-gains income after liquidating stock in Apple, Facebook, Netflix, Tesla and the like, as well as a cohort of taxpayers owing tax on capital-gains income after liquidating heavily inflated real estate in the Golden State. Is that sustainable over the long term? We’ll see. You imply that the state’s “demise” is imaginary or wishful thanking, but by many metrics it’s very real. The outflow of the state’s middle class is in fact very real, and there’s census bureau and US postal service data to prove it.

SEIU lawyers wrote Obamacare.
Then they unionized CA healthcare workers.
Now they are unionizing fast food workers independent of who owns the franchise.
SEIU started as “Janitors for Justice” in the Bay Area about 20 years ago.
