Yeah, and don’t forget the $200 billion in printed money that the Feds gave California in the “CARES Act”. The upcoming recession will wipe out any “surplus” in a hurry due to the CA “progressive” income tax rates.

It’s not actually making a union it’s making a council that will oversee working conditions for fast food workers. First thing will be a $22 minimum wage

The new statewide council would be able to set standards across the fast food industry on wages and workplace conditions such as safety measures and even the temperature of a restaurant. Labor advocates say the bill would give workers bargaining power in an industry where union representation is difficult to achieve because of high staff turnover and franchise ownership

Wasn’t there supposed to be a vote like every other company and industry?

NLRA says so.

Oh well...

Hilarious

Maybe in NC they’re kids but in California they are almost 100% illegal aliens, usually middle aged.

They have rudimentary English if any, and typically maybe one of them is semi fluent and takes orders.

The SEIU is the illegal alien union here: they drove out any Americans a long time ago.

The Mexican flag flies in front of their headquarters in San Jose. People criticized them for it, but they didn’t take it down.

IF 556,000 workers have to each pay $20 a month in union dues ($240 a year), that is $133,440,000 in union dues that will filter quickly to the Dems.

IF I owned a fast food operation-—I would shut it down by Tomorrow midnight.

“MIGRANTS” can NOT legally hold a job in the USA.

They cannot properly fill out an I-9 form to be qualified to hold any job.

They pretty much have the same in some of the most expensive European countries.

Needless to say, locals CANNOT afford to eat at those places, so only government types and business people use them.

I show $4.29 there: 4396 Montgomery Road — not sure if includes cheese. Cheese is 35¢ here. Meal $6.50. There must have been a mistake somewhere.

Lawsuits should start. Most of these people passing this kind of legislation have never had real jobs or created any. Big Government is their religion.

So when a number of places close or go bankrupt, probably some of the very places some of these politicians go then what? They are cannabalizing their own tax base for the greater good. Now full blown Robots will come in for whoever might stay and those they are trying to help will be unemployed.

That was my first thought too. McD’s will automate as much as possible including talking to a machine instead of a person. It will be just like using the ATM machine. The one or two people working in the back will be multi-level trained people worth paying them the $22+.
