Buttigieg Won’t Say California EV Policy Could Be a National Model Like Granholm Did
Breitbart ^ | 09/10/2022 | Ian hatchett

During a portion of an interview aired on Friday’s broadcast of “The Issue Is,” Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg responded to a question on whether he likes California’s plan to ban the sale of new gas-powered vehicles by 2035 — a plan that drew praise from Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm last week — and whether he thinks it could be a national model by stating that it’s “interesting” to see what states are doing and he’s “really interested to follow these developments” at the state level.

Host Elex Michaelson asked, “California recently announced that, by 2035, all vehicles that are new that are sold have to be electric vehicles — or can’t be gas-powered vehicles. What do you think about that, and is that something that could be a national model?”

He is much smarter than she is, and will wait until after the election to say this.

Buttigieg and Granholm are on the same page regarding EVs nationwide, the difference being that Buttgig wants to remain viable as a candidate for president in 2024, whereas Granholm is at her last government post.

He knows that they won’t have to. The car makers are not going to make cars they can’t sell in CA even more so if other rat states join CA. So in effect the CA will dictate what we all can buy.

Let’s just put MTBE in gasoline.
That’ll make it OK to use until
we can find enough rare earths.

A few other states indicated they want to do the same as California.

I am confused about one thing. The California Air Resources Board issued this ruling that only these electric or zero emission vehicles can be sold by 2035. Why in the sam hill does a bureaucratic agency have the power to decree such a major policy decision such as this?

Are we even governed in any way by elected officials anymore, or does some bureaucracy make all decisions nowadays?

Where does the constitutional authority come from for a national policy?

CARB has been making decisions like this 1967, when they were founded.

CARB was founded in 1967, and if you want to drive a vehicle or had one, it had to meet their standards.

Grab’em Nuisance, Pete ButtGigity and the Energy Skank ignore historic facts made evident by GM’s abject failures EV1 and the Dolt.

EVs with the current tech are UNSUSTAINABLE, UNRELIABLE, Impractical money pits

But NO! No facts matter or history or that they self-ignite at times!

because...Klimate Change!!!
