Chick-fil-A scrambled to explain itself after a reply to a customer with the phrase “your community” sparked allegations of racism.
The social media backlash began last Friday after one user tweeted the message “grilled spicy deluxe but still noooo spicy nuggets” to the fast-food giant’s official account.

My goodness, such hair-triggered offense these days. Looks like the term community has gone down the same rabbit hole as the word gay. Wistfully recalling when gay simply had a happy meaning...
Me either. I live in a community. We even have Chik Fil A in my community.
This triggered Twitter followers to read “community” and think “black community” — who taught them that association?
The company has been using “community” in various posts when items are coming to local area menus. Chick-fil-a apologizing for “poor choice of words” for using the word “community” is ridiculous CYA.
Some people spend their entire waking hours looking for things to complain about. They want to complain and put you on the defensive, which (they think) will instantly give them that prized Victim Status, to whom ‘the debt’ can never be fully repaid. This can be overcome by refusing to accept much of any guilt. You don’t always have to play their game.
Now we are guilty for what we say “infers”. Basically you have to assume guilty “intentions” for the writer for now on. We are expected to be so woke that we avoid anything that could mean something offensive.

I worked for the DoD for 31 years. The federal government is the ultimate woke company.....I could tell you stories similar to this one all day that would leave you shaking your head in disbelief......sometimes I wonder how I did it.
There’s nothing wrong with it. Fast food chains often have menu items that are available in some communities and not others. (Arby’s doesn’t have certain things here that I’d like to try; but “community” means my AREA, not my skin color, race or ethnicity.)
People have gone crazy.
Twitter posts are not “backlash”. Reduced sales are.
Apologizing never helps. It only makes the freaks redouble their crazy demands.

The left’s goal is to keep conservatives on defense all the time. Thus they will make up false claims so conservatives spin their wheels defending themselves. It’s quite obvious what they are doing.
