The Biden administration is pulling back on its student debt relief program amid numerous legal challenges, including six new lawsuits filed by Republican-led states.
In a reversal from Biden’s original sweeping proposal in August to cancel federal student loans up to $20,000, the US Department of Education announced Thursday that it would not forgive debt from borrowers whose student loans are owned by private entities.

The Occupy White gang tried to revive the mom’s basement crowd’s enthusiasm to vote Democrat/communist.
It didn’t work.
The Student loan give away turned into a 55/45 against so they are getting our taxpayer money to pay off their student loans and ending the idea of paying everybody else’s loans.
The whole legal framework of why and how the government can forgive the loans is very weak, but actually sending checks to banks and other financial institutions almost certainly requires an appropiation of money through Congress. They abandoned this part to keep the first judge who hears the case from overturning everything.
Doesn’t Deep State hold over 90% of student loans?

During the Obozo years they made all student loans federal. So this student loan “payoff” will only pay off loans made in the past 8-10 years.
