Original text?
Where are the originals? Do you have a copy? Have you ever seen them? Did they ever exist in one place? There are no originals - yet Paul told Timothy to search the Scriptures… copies - faithfully preserved copies.
They choose it. They CHOOSE it.
Just accept the L and move on.
The point is that there were no originals at all when you say the say the LXX was - None. Not until the New Testament appeared - and they didn’t last long. There has never been a time when the 66 books of the Bible were all bound together in a single source. But we do have a God that swore to us to preserve his word unto all generations.
“Some” choose it - many wish to change the Vicar of Christ’s ruling
Exactly. Who decides? Which is the point...and they’ve lost that understanding.
Uh, Catholic? No.
We're not far behind.? It seems to me, the US is the very center of the crap hole where this stuff is coming from... The only thing saving us, at the moment, is our Constitution. And its pages are getting thinner by the day.... :(
There is nothing “sola” about that passage.
Just how much of that last 130 years are you still wed to?
Are you familiar with these:?
2 Thessalonians 2:15 So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions that you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by our letter.
1 Corinthians 11:2 I commend you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions just as I handed them on to you.
You will have an interesting conversation with the Author at the Judgment Seat of Christ
Your perspective is without merit.
The issue in this post is not Sola Scriptura vs. the Magisterium. Nor is it the marital status of the priest and his church affiliation. The issue is the repression of speech by the British authorities under a supposedly conservative Prime Minister
Headline is now:
She was interviewed on Bannon's Warroom today. She said that they took the jewelry that she was wearing, including a cross on a chain, earrings and ring.
The world is not going in a positive direction.
I am sorry that this thread was taken over by a religion/Bible discussion. That should be on a different thread.
I believe already married men are permitted to enter the Catholic priesthood, but priests are not permitted to marry after being ordained. But readily admit I may be wrong.
Anglican Church priests can be accepted into Catholic Church. When he was Anglican he could be married.
