Seattle software engineer gets probation for 2019 Capital One hack (trans privilege)

A former Seattle tech worker convicted of several charges related to a massive hack of Capital One bank and other companies in 2019 was sentenced Tuesday to time served and five years of probation. U.S. District Judge Robert S. Lasnik said sentencing former Amazon software engineer Paige Thompson to time in prison would have been particularly difficult on her "because of her mental health and transgender status," the Department of Justice said in a statement.

U.S. Attorney Nick Brown said his office was "very disappointed" with the sentencing decision, adding prosecutors had asked for Thompson to serve seven years in prison. . . .

"Ms. Thompson's hacking and theft of information of 100 million people did more than $250 million in damage to companies and individuals," Brown said. "Her cybercrimes created anxiety for millions of people who are justifiably concerned about their private information. This conduct deserves a more significant sanction."

We are witness to the creation of another privileged victim group that is exempt from our laws.

Criminals deserve to be treated gently because of their criminal status. It makes it hard for them to succeed in life, since they are always breaking the law and screwing up other people’s lives. You just have to show some sympathy, bro.

But law-abiding citizens? People who simply haven’t done anything wrong? Well, we should throw the book at those losers!! Send them to jail!! I don’t care if they didn’t do anything! I have no sympathy for normal people!!!

‘U.S. District Judge Robert S. Lasnik said sentencing former Amazon software engineer Paige Thompson to time in prison would have been particularly difficult on her “because of her mental health and transgender status,”’

I’m sure that most people sentence to prison would attest that it is particularly difficult on them. I guess the trick in today’s “woke” justice system to change your sexual identity before or even after a crime and then cry on a liberal Judge’s shoulder about how unfair life is.

Good. If I ever get arrested I am claiming transgender status so I don’t get real jail time. This is just plain stupid. So now it depends on your “victim status” that will determine what kind of punishment you get. Look out straight white people!

I ask for my pap smear and mammogram at every doctors office check-up. It’s particularly difficult on the staff.

So, I can steal from people, destroy their lives but claim to identify as a potato and won’t have to serve time then. Right?

If you ever get arrested, just go to the judge and demand to be tried as a democrat

The next time I rob a bank and get caught I shall identify myself as transgendered, formerly white man but now a black female, homosexual (transgendered homosexuality has always been confusing to me but what the hell), environmentalist, Eco-warrior, Marxist, with a Hispanic last name, illegal alien with a physical disability and of course hate Donald Trump.

I will walk from that court and probably be given 20K$ and citizenship as a consolation prize for my poor skills at robbing banks. LOL /Sarcasm
