Trial Update: Christmas Parade Killer Has Covid: “I’m Terrified, I Don’t Know What’s Going On, I’m Fully Vaccinated!”

The show trial has begun in the prosecution of Darrell Brooks, Jr., who viciously mowed down onlookers with his SUV at the Waukesha, WI Christmas parade last winter.

After three days, the trial has been nothing short of a circus, which seems to be Brooks’s (who is representing himself) strategy.

On Day 1 of the trial, Brooks was removed from the courtroom several times by Waukesha County Circuit Judge Jennifer Dorow. Day 2 jury selection didn’t go any better.

Now, on Day 3 in an apparent attempt to slow the trial down, Brooks claims to have Covid-19. “Frankly, I’m very afraid right now because I don’t know what’s going on. I’m fully vaccinated,” Brooks said. “I know people who have died of COVID, and I’m as scared as hell.”

I only know of one person in my personal and workplace realm who had to be hospitalized for covid. He weighed 400 pounds, and he survived.

The article goes into great detail about what a complete piece of garbage Brooks has been in the trial proceedings, becoming disruptive and uncooperative numerous times. I think that should be prima facia evidence of guilt.

Why does Gateway Pundit call this a “show trial”? That term usually refers to a trial that is being conducted to prosecute a political enemy.

Brooks might be angling to have himself declared mentally unfit so he can escape the death penalty or even proclaimed innocent by reason of insanity.
